Approaching
the National Day holiday, before the holiday, what maintenance and shutdown
precautions do the air compressors that provide air compression for the factory
need?
First, short-term shutdown precautions
1. Discharge condensate:
For air compressors with water cooling units or coolers, the excess cooling
water in the cooling system pipeline should be emptied before stopping to
prevent corrosion of the pipeline for a long time. At the same time, the
condensate water inside the oil and gas drum and cooler should also be
discharged to avoid freezing cracks in the pipeline.
2. Anti-rust treatment:
Anti-rust treatment is carried out on the metal part of the air compressor,
such as applying anti-rust oil or placing desiccant to avoid rust during a long
downtime.
3. Check the safety device:
Before stopping, the safety device of the air compressor should be checked
to ensure that the safety device works normally. If there is any abnormal
situation, it should be handled in time.
4. Close the valve:
Close the pipe valve to the workshop or gas point to prevent gas backflow.
At the same time, it is also necessary to close the air inlet valve and exhaust
valve of the air compressor to ensure that the internal pressure of the
equipment is completely released.
5. Power off:
After confirming that all operations are completed, disconnect the power
and air source of the air compressor to ensure the safety of the equipment. At
the same time, it is also necessary to turn off the control power supply and
auxiliary equipment power supply of the air compressor.
Second, maintenance after shutdown
1. Dust and moisture:
If the shutdown time is longer (such as more than one month), use plastic
paper or oil paper to wrap the controller, distribution box and other
electrical equipment of the air compressor to prevent dust and moisture. At the
same time, cover the outside of the device to protect it from dust and rain.
2. Check regularly:
During the shutdown period, the status of the air compressor should be
checked regularly, including checking whether there is rain intrusion and
whether the line is normal. If problems are found, they should be dealt with
and recorded in time.
3. Replace lubricating oil:
For air compressors with downtime of more than three months, it is
recommended to replace the lubricating oil and run for 30 minutes before
stopping to ensure that the lubricating oil fully lubricate the internal parts
of the equipment. After shutdown, the condensate water in the oil and gas drum
and oil cooler is discharged.
Iii. Other precautions
1. Prevent rats from biting strings:
Before stopping, the removable parts such as the door plate of the air
compressor should be installed to prevent rats from entering and biting the
line. At the same time, it is also possible to check regularly for signs of
mouse activity around the equipment during downtime and take appropriate
measures.
2. Keep it ventilated and dry:
During the shutdown, keep the storage environment ventilated and dry to
avoid moisture or corrosion. Desiccant can also be placed around the equipment
to absorb moisture in the air.
3. Contact professional service personnel:
If an unsolvable fault is found during the shutdown or before startup, it
is recommended to contact the professional service personnel of the air
compressor for consultation and handling to ensure the safety and normal
operation of the equipment.
In summary, the precautions for the shutdown of air compressors during holidays involve many aspects. Operators should perform all operations in strict accordance with the specifications to ensure the safety of the equipment during shutdown and the subsequent normal operation.
